Hi everyone Melyssa here with another card using the sweet little paper pack called Simple Stories-Harvest Lane.  I love the rich Autumn colours of this paper. I think it makes a great combo for Thanksgiving cards or layouts. The little turkey is a digi stamp. ;)

Happy belated Thanksgiving, Canadian friends! And Happy World Cardmaking Day also belated!

Dani here to share a quick and fun project to celebrate Thanksgiving, Fall and the World Cardmaking day! Yep, I know, I'm so lazy that I have to group 3! major dates to go on and create a card... Oh well, what can I say... I hope it is worth the work (it took me 20 minutes, but don't tell anyone) and I can give you all some inspiration:

When I saw this Lawn Fawn stamp set with the three different backgrounds (it's called Interlocking Backdrops, a MUST HAVE) I thought "Self, even you, the lousiest stamper in the World, can make an awesome stamped background with them." And I was right as usual. So go check all the Lawn Fawn stamps at Scrapbooking Cafe Online and, if you can't ind what you are looking for, Kristy will be delighted to bring it in just for you! Isn't this awesome? My husband totally disagrees with this statement, ha!

Gobble Gobble...

Happy Thanksgiving to all our Canadian friends out there! I hope you found many reasons to be thankful this year.

This past weekend was also World Cardmaking Day! There was inspiration, challenges and prizes everywhere in the blogosphere!!! Were you able to get some time to make a card? or two?

I spent my weekend getting quite a few projects finished up, but I was only able to make one card. I thought I'd share it with you today.

I haven't made a masculine card in awhile and my hunny's birthday is coming up so I thought I would make a card for him.

To tell the truth, this card took me a looong time to create. I always have such a difficult time with masculine cards. I'm still not 100% sure I like it, but it is done, and I know my hunny will think it is great!

Kids Thanksgiving Crafts!

Hello!  It's Anita from http://craftygrldesigns.blogspot.ca/ And today I have a bit of a different post for you!  This morning my daughter and I were on a local Winnipeg Television show doing Thanksgiving kids crafts!   I think it went really well!  Everyone at Breakfast Television were so kind and easy to work with!

I hope that you enjoyed it!  My daughter and I really did!  She loves crafts just as much as me and was really excited for this!  :>  And if your wondering I would do it again!  I love sharing my creativity with others!  I feel passionate about being creative in all areas of my life.  I find joy and relaxation in being crafty and with how busy life can be it is much needed!

Never Ending Turkey Talk

Hi all!  It's getting so close to turkey time I can hardly stand it!  Today I have what I think is the coolest card technique ever!! Thanks to Kristy for hosting a card class at this past weekends Scrapbooing Cafe crop teaching how to make this card.  I thought it was so awesome that I wanted to make a video tutorial to share so you all can try it for yourself.  Here are some pictures of the card decorated with Simple Stories-Harvest Lane 6x6 paper pad.

Boys paradise

Hi everyone! Dani Donner here today to share a quick page I made using the new line from Amy Tangerine. I have to say I have a soft spot for colorful graphic papers, so when I first saw the Ready Set Go collection by American Crafts it was love at first sight...

What can I say?!?! I have two boys!!! I NEED cool papers, dude...

Now, this collection goes perfectly with fun filled pictures, like this whole wall full of Legos. Yes, LEGOS! Each and every niche was filled with tons of legos... Simply amazing!

So if you have some bright pictures to scrap you should definitely check this collection out!

oh snap!

Welcome to October! I'm still not quite sure where September went, but that seems to happen to me every month. Anyways, today I have a layout to share with you that I made using the Everyday Eclectic line from Echo Park. I absolutely LOVE this line!! I received it quite awhile ago but I just finally got a chance to work with it this past weekend. I made this layout and 2 cards already and I can't wait to do more!

I have had this photo of my daughter and I from a wedding a few years ago on my desk for a long time waiting to be scrapped, when this line came along I knew it was perfect.

I didn't have any black mist so I made my own with some black acrylic paint I had laying around. It was really easy. I simply put a dollop of black paint on a tray and added water until I got the consistency I wanted. I used a small paintbrush to flick the black onto the paper to make spatters.

I stamped the date once at full ink strength and then stamped it off a few more times until the ink wore off. I like the look, it adds to the shabby/messy vibe that the layout has going on.
