Hello Scrapbook Cafe Friends!!  Hope you are having a great Thursday! Over here in Winnipeg it is very icy!  The last couple days it was warm and overnight it got cold again, well I think you can go ice skating down the streets today!  I had the kids all dressed up, backpacks packed half the morning battle done before we realized how bad it is out there!  I was a determined Mother to get them to school as I would have the whole day to myself!  Proud to say that I drove very slowly and my daughter prayed the whole way (she told me) and we made it!  I've been enjoying crafting and cleaning and laundry!  

Today I have some cards to share using a new stamp set, Hero Arts and Sizzix Snowflake and Emboss Stamp set!  I love this set as you can stamp and than emboss the snowflakes!  And with Holiday cards I love having a snowflake background! I also used Hero Arts Very Best Holiday wreath stamp!

I heat embossed the sentiment onto red cardstock.  Here is a side view, you can really see the embossing!

Well that's it for me!  I've got to run and pick up the kids from school!  Wish me luck as I hit the icy streets!

HI everyone! Dani Donner here bringing you an express card. Yep, it took me less than 10 minutes to make this fall inspired card, and it was all possible thanks to Hero Arts amazing stamps! The trick is to match the Large Solid Flower with the Large Open Flower, contrasting Fall colours and there you have it! A fun card in record time:

I could have aligned the stamps better, but I wanted the "misplaced" look (and also wanted to break my 15 minutes record, lol).

I love those stamps so much that I'm already planing to bring them back on a Christmas card, so stay tunned!

Heaven's Rejoice

Hello Scrapbooking Cafe Friends!  Hope that you are having a great week! It's Anita and I have been busy over here preparing for my daughter's 7th Birthday party!  She loves crafts (of course she is my daughter) so I've been planning all sorts of crafts!  I worry we won't have enough time, but that's better than not having enough, right?

Today I have a Christmas card to share!  I used one of my favorite Holiday pads, the Simple Stories Handmade Holiday 6 by 6 pad along with Hero Arts stamps, Scrapbooking Cafe has some of the new Hero Arts Holiday Stamp sets along with lots of the new inks!  You can find them here.  And here is my card:

I heat embossed in red the wise men and star from the Heaven's Rejoice stamp set onto a piece of patterned paper from the Handmade Holidays pad.  Scrapbooking Cafe has lots of Embossing powders, you can find them here.  Tied a bow and added some lace!  :>  I am really happy with this card!

Quick Masculine Birthday Cards

Hello Happy Thursday!  It's me Anita from http://craftygrldesigns.blogspot.ca/  So on Saturday I realized that we were going to the inlaws to celebrate two of my brother in laws birthdays and I didn't have any masculine birthday cards left.  Did I mention that I realized this at 25 minutes before we were supposed to leave?  Oh boy!  I like to make cards and have them on hand for when I need them, but I had run out of masculine cards! And I feel that since I do make cards I should have some to give them! Our family is big on giving cards! Why is that I just don't make enough of them when we celebrate just as many men birthdays as women?  I think I could spend a whole month just making masculine birthday cards and maybe just maybe I could catch up.  I quickly ran to my dining craft table and somehow came up with two cards, they had to be the same if I stood a chance!  When I first got the Poppy Stamps Lorelei die I had been playing with it and had tucked in the die cut pieces in the envelope.  I decided I would use those!  Than I also had a bunch of label dies and decided to use that too. I quickly stamped the Newspaper background and sentiment by Hero Arts.  What took the longest was putting glue on the die!  I added a button and threaded one with orange bakers twine and one without because I couldn't decide what looked better!

Not bad for in a hurry desperately need cards, card right? Well that's it from me!  Hope I've inspired you to look at your scraps when your in a hurry!  The scraps saved me!  See you next Thursday!

Fresh Honeyblossom

Today I have a card to share using the Basic Grey What's Up?  6 by 6 pad and the Honeyblossom Sprig die by Memory Box!

I die cut the honeyblossom sprig from a solid piece from the What's Up? pad and all papers are from it.  Stamped a sentiment by Hero Arts, Good Friends.  Used a Ek Success punch for the edge, Scrapbooking Cafe has lots of EK Success punches, check it out here.  Added a strip of white lace and pearls to finish the card off!  :>  This card is so fresh to me!

Summer Cards!

Hello!  Happy Thursday!  It's Anita from http://www.craftygrldesigns.blogspot.ca/ and today I have some summery cards to share with you!  I used the perfect summery and fun paper Hello Summer by Echo Park!  Summer is my favorite season and we are currently squeezing out the most fun we can have these last few weeks before school starts!

I cut strips out of leftover sheets from the Hello Summer pad, it's a great way to use the leftovers!  Used a set by Lawn Fawn Flutter By (Scrapbooking online is actually getting Lawn Fawn stamps soon!)  

For this card I focused on using only a sentiment stamp and the rest of the elements of the card from the pad of paper.  I fussy cut the flowers from one of the papers and popped them up with dimensional adhesive (foam squares) to add dimension.  I used a sentiment from Hero Arts.  And another patterned paper from the pad.

Masculine Lorelai Leaf Card!

Hello!  Happy Thursday to you!  It's Anita from http://craftygrldesigns.blogspot.com/ And I am happy to be here today!  Today I have a masculine card to share with you.  Masculine cards don't seem to be anyone's favorite to make but I don't mind them at all!  I used a Poppy Stamps die Lorelai Leaf which I think is a great die for any kind of cards!  But I couldn't resist making a masculine card with it, I mean leaves are green and green is a masculine color right?  Do you like my reasoning?  LOL

I die cut the leaf with green bazzill cardstock.  I love the look of canvas (and I think it looks masculine too) and stamped the Hero Arts Newspaper Background onto it with vintage photo by ranger ink.  Distressed with edges with ink and pulled some strings out too.  I love this Hello Handsome sentiment, it's so masculine!  Added some twine by Dooblebug and some buttons!  Quite happy with how this card turned out!  Am I the only one who feels a sense of accomplishment when you make a great masculine card?

Silhouette Vines

Hello!  It's Thursday so it's my turn to post here!  It's Anita from http://craftygrldesigns.blogspot.com/ and I am excited to be here!  Today I have a card to share featuring the 6 by 6 pad Indie Chic Saffron by My Mind's Eye and using a Hero Arts and Sizzix Emboss and Stamp Set Silhouette Vines.  Scrapbooking Cafe Online has quite a few of the Hero Arts and Sizzix Emboss and Stamp sets!  You can see them here.  These sets are really neat!  They come with a stamp set and an matching embossing folder!  I love stamping and love how the dry embossing enhances the stamping!  Here is my card:

I also used heat embossing! It's fun to combine both the heat embossing and the dry embossing!  I heat embossed the Silhouette Vines in chestnut zing embossing powder!  I love heat embossing on patterned paper, I really like the look it achieves! This is actually my first card I've made with this set and it was fool proof!  :>

Honey Blossom Spring

Hello!  It's Anita from http://craftygrldesigns.blogspot.com/  It's Thursday so it's my turn to share with you today!  Today I have a card using a fantastic Memory Box die Honeyblossom Spring!  I love playing with the Memory Box dies!  There are quite a few available in the store you can see them here.  I also used the 6 by 6 pad Indie Chic Saffron by My Mind's Eye for my card:

I die cut the Honeyblossom Spring from a piece of solid paper that came in the pad, used a fun piece of patterned paper from the pack.  Stamped the sentiment from Hero Arts set Good Friends, used some Hero Arts lace and twine by the twinery!

Indie Chic Meadow Card

Hello everyone!  I am quite excited to be here with my first post as a design team member for Scrapbooking Cafe Online!  :>  My name is Anita Recksiedler and I am from Winnipeg, Manitoba!

  I am happily married to Chad and a mom to two great kids a sweet girl who is 6 and a half and a busy boy who is almost 4!  I have been home with my kids but have just joined my husband in real estate!  I love paper crafting.  I mainly make cards but also all other sorts of crafts too!  I started paper crafting 6 years ago to have something that was just for me, a creative outlet.  Paper crafting helps me relive stress and I am one of those people who has to be doing something all the time! This past year has been quite successful with starting to get publications in both Cards and Paper Crafts magazines!  I also am a Paper Crafts magazine Stamping Royalty winner 2012 and a Top 5 for Gallery Idol 2012!  I would love it if you checked out my blog http://craftygrldesigns.blogspot.com/

Today I have a card to share using some products that you can get at Scrapbooking Cafe Online!  I used the new My Mind's Eye Indie Chic Saffron 6 by 6 pad and the Hero Arts Blooming Meadow Stamp:

I stamped with versamark ink the blooming meadow and heat embossed it with white embossing powder on a doily.  Than I sprayed the doily with some tattered angels mist dutch tulip and let it dry.  Adhered the patterned paper from the Indie Chic pad to a cream card and stamped the sentiment from Hero Arts on it in brown ink.  For the ribbon I used seam binding and sprayed it with tattered angels mist in pink poodle and let it dry.  Assembled the card and there you go!
